In Bolivia, the kickoff of a football match final had to be delayed this Monday, in the municipality of Achocalla. In question: an impressive whirlwind of dust which started on the ground.
The phenomenon began a few minutes before the start of the meeting. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, reports The Independent.
Impressive! As a lover of #meteorology and from #footballThese images have caught my attention. A couple of days ago (07/19/2021), #tolvanera in the final of the League of #Achocalla, on #LaPaz (#Bolivia). What a prolegomenon before the game. Video: @NationSportBo. pic.twitter.com/03Z23JHu4f

A violent whirlwind that sweeps away everything
For specialists and enthusiasts of meteorological phenomena, it is a “Dust Devil”, in other words a whirlwind of dust that looks like a tornado. Fortunately, this phenomenon is much less destructive. Witnesses captured footage of Monday’s incident.
On the videos, we still realize the violence of this whirlwind. The latter propels everything he finds around him into the air. Bolivia is regularly affected by phenomena of this type. The country also experiences sandstorms, sometimes very impressive.
