The Colombian capital thus becomes the ninth center of these characteristics in the world and the second in Latin America after Buenos Aires, Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Beirut, Istanbul, Jakarta and Casablanca.

The aim of these centers is to “inspire the entrepreneurs of tomorrow, digitize SMEs, scale start-ups and foster inclusive entrepreneurship” to “provide people with opportunities to build meaningful livelihoods”.

In this sense, Bogotá has “an untapped opportunity,” in addition to being a city “very connected, something very important for business,” the director of the CCI, John Denton, explained to EFE.
