“This increase is 1.5% for customers who use gas for cooking, 3.4% for those who have dual use, cooking and hot water, and 5.9% for homes that heat themselves. gas ”detailed the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) in a press release.
Strong global demand
According to CRE, this price increase is explained by an increase in “market prices”, “supported this winter by strong global demand (…) due to the cold snap on the Asian continent”. “To this factor is added a strong demand on storage in Europe in January as well as the continued increase in oil prices”, added the regulator.
The law provides for the gradual extinction by 2023 of regulated gas sales tariffs (TRV) for individuals. They have already been removed for professional consumers since December 1.
