Price of the dollar in Peru: What is the exchange rate for today, Monday, November 7

The price of the US dollar in Peru opened lower on Monday, amid expectations of a possible moderation in the pace of monetary tightening by the US Federal Reserve (Fed), which caused a sharp decline in the dollar in the markets international.

The exchange rate operates at S/ 3,955 per dollar, a decline of 0.41% compared to the close of the previous day, according to the Bloomberg agency.

So far this year, the greenback accumulates a decline of 0.95% compared to the last price of 2021, at S / 3,991.

On the other hand, in the parallel market or the main exchange houses, the dollar is bought at S/ 3.94 and sold at S/ 3.97, according to data from the portal cualestaeldolar.pe.

Most Latin American stock markets rose on expectations of a possible moderation in the rate of monetary tightening by the United States Federal Reserve (Fed), which caused a sharp drop in the dollar in international markets.

According to the Reuters agency, the markets were also favored by an increase in investor confidence after reports that China could relax the strict measures adopted to combat COVID.

The US currency fell sharply against a basket of six currencies that make up the dollar index, down around 1.5%.
