Fuel: prices remain stable

In the midst of social unrest, and as gas station shortages worsen, fuel prices remain relatively stable. Thus, according to the latest report compiled by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, last week SP 95-E10 cost an average of 1.89 euros (+0.1 cents compared to the previous 7 days), and diesel fuel – 1.82 euros or 0 .2 cents. less. You should be back at the end of January to see pump prices skyrocket to over €1.90. Since that date, they have remained below that bar, whether diesel or SP95-E10.

Good news for the motorist’s wallet… Provided you find something to fill your tank with. As the refinery strike continues, 16% of stations this Sunday, March 26 at 13:00 have experienced supply difficulties, including 7.5% of gasoline and diesel. The departments most affected were Loire Atlantique (complete or partial rupture of 59.3% of stations), Mayenne (56.4%) and Bouches-du-Rhone (50%). In Ile-de-France, Essonne (39.1%) and Val-de-Marne (30.1%) were particularly affected.

Last week to apply for fuel

While waiting for the possibility of refueling, and if you have not yet requested it, do not forget to request a fuel allowance of 100 euros. This assistance, which has replaced a general gas station rebate, is for the poorest 10 million households who use their cars to commute. However, you only have a few days left to claim it, until Friday, March 31 at midnight on the tax website.

At the same time, the government also announced on Wednesday March 22 an “extraordinary” reassessment of the mileage compensation scale “by 5.4%.” The tax measure targets two million taxable households who use their personal vehicle for professional purposes, according to Minister Delegate for Public Accounts Gabriel Attal, and who choose to deduct from their taxable income their actual transportation expenses (instead of a reduction), such as like fuel costs, insurance premiums or maintenance costs. The scope of this increase has already been increased by 10% in January 2022.
