Pensions: “unprecedented security device” for this Tuesday with 13,000 police and gendarmes mobilized.

The leader wants to put an end to the atrocities. Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin presented at a press conference on Monday evening an “unprecedented security device” to maintain order and ensure the smooth running of the tenth day of mobilization on Tuesday 28 March.

A resident of the Place Beauvoud called for “in this period of violence (…) to solemnly reassure everyone” and mentioned the possible arrival in Paris on Tuesday of “more than 1,000 radical elements, some of them from abroad, and “others were present in Sainte-Solin during these weekend.

Therefore, in order to contain these “very serious risks of disorderly conduct”, Gerald Darmanin deployed throughout the territory an “unprecedented” system of 13,000 policemen and gendarmes, including 5,500 in Paris. “Tomorrow, 90 mobile units will be deployed, the level of mobilization has never been reached,” the interior minister added.

Radicalized elements of the “ultra-left”

The former mayor of Tourcoing also wanted to condemn “with the greatest firmness and without the slightest ambiguity the violence committed against the police”, especially after the day of mobilization on 16 March. Since that date, according to the Ministry of the Interior, 891 police officers and gendarmes have been injured in the course of the violence, 47 gendarmes were injured over the weekend in Deux-Sèvres.

Gerald Darmanin also recalled the damage and violence committed against “subprefectures, prefectures, police stations, courts, city halls and political institutions” caused by radicalized elements of the “ultra-left and extreme left”. “Their goal is to destabilize our republican institutions and bring France to fire and blood,” he concluded.
