Netflix shares were down 8.37% on Thursday after the streaming giant announced on Wednesday that it recorded $8.19 billion in revenue, below the $8.3 billion analysts anticipated.

Tesla also woke up in the red, down 4.69%, after its CEO, Elon Musk, noted in his results yesterday that vehicle production would slow during the third quarter due to shutdowns due to improvements in the factories.

This morning it was Johnson & Johnson’s turn to announce its results and the company raised its full-year outlook. After this announcement, the shares of the pharmaceutical rose 4.03%.

Of the S&P 500 companies that have reported earnings so far, 77% have beaten expectations, FactSet data shows.

By sectors, the greatest gains were for energy and sanitation, which rose 1.01% and 0.96% respectively, while the greatest losses were for real estate and non-essential goods, which subtracted 1, 73% and 1.42%, respectively.

Among the 30 Dow Jones stocks, the companies with the biggest losses were Intel (-2.44%), American Express (-1.46%), while the biggest gains were for Johnson & Johnson and IBM (2.6%). , which presented its results on Wednesday.
