The Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) began the session on Tuesday with gains, amid the sustained advance of almost all sectors and about to erase all the losses registered so far in 2021.
At 10:44 in the morning, the S & P / BVL Peru General Index, the most representative of the Lima stock market, rose 0.89% to 20,742.02 points.
Similarly, the S & P / BVL Peru Selective Index, which is made up of the most traded shares in the local market, posted an advance of 0.89% and stood at 546.97 units.
The Lima stock market is very close to returning to the level registered at the end of 2020, when the general index reached 20,816.37 points while the selective ended with 549.45 points
Most of the sectors were green today. The gains were led by the mining sector (0.75%) and the financial sector (0.70%). Only the shares of utility and power companies were unchanged.
Among the shares that rose the most this Tuesday were those of Rimac Seguros (9.2%), Sociedad Minera El Brocal (8.61%), Cartavio (7.04%), Buenaventura (3.8%) and Aceros Arequipa ( 3.36%).
On the other side of the table, only the shares of Trevali (-5.66%) were located during the opening.
