The government wants to strike hard. The executive wants to be able to sanction with an administrative fine of up to 1,000 euros per employee, up to a limit of 50,000 euros, companies not playing the telecommuting game to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, announced Thursday the Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne, on LCI.

An amendment to the bill on the vaccine pass will be tabled by the end of the week, said his entourage. “We can see that most companies play the game very well […]. There are a few companies which do not do it, which do not follow the recommendations of the labor inspectorate, and which take advantage of the length of the sanctioning procedure to not respect the rules, ”she explained.

A “faster and more dissuasive” system

“I want a faster and therefore more dissuasive system by allowing the labor inspectorate to be able to pronounce sanctions without waiting for the legal procedure. We will introduce an amendment […] by providing for the possibility for the labor inspectorate to impose sanctions of up to 1,000 euros per employee whose situation is not in conformity, up to a limit of 50,000 euros ”, continued the Minister.
