Actress Zara Phythian, who played ‘Brunette Zealot’ in the film “Doctor Strange” Together with Benedict Cumberbatch, and her husband Victor Marke, they are being investigated for numerous sexual crimes against a minor under 13 years of age, according to the BBC portal.
In the police complaint filed by the victim – whose name is kept secret for legal reasons – before the Crown Court of Nottingham, England, it is detailed that the acts of abuse occurred between 2005 and 2008, when the minor was 13 and 15 years.
As is known from the complaint, the abuse began when the actress Zara Phythian was 21 years old and was not yet married to Victor Marke, 42. The victim revealed that she met her assailants because they were martial arts instructors in Nottinghamshire. The minor would have been subjected after being pressured to drink alcohol in order to record her.
The Nottinghamshire Live newspaper reported that Phythian “trained” the girl to improve her sexual activity and that they had been intimate with Marke at least 20 times. Also, they filmed some of these sexual encounters.
“I knew it was wrong, but I just didn’t know how to get out of the situation or say anything. I remember trying to copy Zara’s reaction at the time because he looked up to her and tried to be like her in every way.”he told police according to BBC News.
Zara Phythian and Victor Marke have been charged with 14 crimes together. The couple have denied that the accusations are substantiated; however, Marke is also accused of sexual crimes against another woman, who was also a minor.
