Billboard Music Awards 2022: Drake is recognized as the Best Artist of the Year

The king of the night. Drake won the award for Best Artist of the Year at the 2022 edition of the Billboard Music Awards which took place on the night of May 15 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift were the other artists who were also nominated for the Best Artist of 2022 category, thanks to their success in the music industry over the past year.

It should be noted that Drake was nominated in 11 categories at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. The singer competed for Top Male Artist (winner), Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Streaming Song Artist, Top Rap Artist (winner) , Top Male Rap Artist (winner), Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Album (winner), and Top Rap Song (two nominations in the same category)
