Megadeth premiere “We’ll Be Back” and announce the release date of their new album

The “thrash metal” group Megadeth released this Thursday his new single, “We’ll Be Back”, which will be part of his next album entitled “The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!” and will be published on September 2.

This studio album, which comes six years after his last work (“Dystopia”), will consist of twelve songs, they reported in a statement from Universal, the record company in charge of Megadeth’s musical distribution.

“The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!” It will bring together the group’s leader Dave Mustaine with guitarist Kiko Loureiro, drummer Dirk Verbeuren and bassist James LoMenzo.

In addition, according to Universal’s statement, the album promises a mixture of “intricate solos and very frenetic ‘riffs'” and will feature the collaboration of rapper Ice-T on the song “Night Stalkers”.

This album will be the culmination of four years of work, since Mustaine revealed its name in 2018 and announced that it was beginning to be recorded.

However, its publication was delayed due to the pandemic and an accusation against the band’s former bassist, David Effelson.

In June 2021, conversations and videos of sexual content were leaked between Effelson and one of his followers that would have occurred three years ago, when the fan was a minor.

Despite the fact that the also co-founder of Megadeth denied it and tried to explain that the girl had already reached the age of majority, Mustaine made the decision to expel him from the group and re-record the tracks of the new album in which Effelson would have participated.

Now, the group returns with the premiere of this single, which is accompanied by the release of the short film “We’ll Be Back: Chapter I”, about a soldier and his resistance to survive in the war. This is the first video of a trilogy that Megadeth will release on the occasion of the release of their new album.
