Jodie Sweetin was thrown to the ground by police as she participated, megaphone in hand, in a demonstration for the right to abortion in Los Angeles. A video taken by photojournalist Michael Ade, and posted to Instagram earlier this week by the organization The Progressivists, shows an officer in the midst of a group of helmeted and armed police catching the star of The House Party before throwing it violently, causing it to fall on the asphalt, with the slogans of the demonstrators and the police sirens in the background.

The incident took place near what looks like a freeway exit blocked by protesters who came to voice their opposition to the Supreme Court’s repeal of Roe v. Wade who guaranteed the right to abortion in the United States. The actress has since reacted in a press release published by variety.
