Lindsay Lohan: what do the first reviews of “Christmas Sudden”, her movie for Netflix, say?

The American actress Lindsay Lohan returns to the screens after almost a decade and does so with an exclusive Netflix Christmas tape. This film called “Christmas Sudden”, now available on streaming, tells the story of a millionaire heiress who, after having a ski accident, has total amnesia. Her life will change by complement after losing her memory, because she will meet a young single father who will teach her a new way of life.

The millionaire will learn about friendship and companionship, as well as the value of kindness and love. This is a tape with positive messages as well as very hilarious moments.

The cast is completed by Chord Overstreet, Jack Wagner, Aliana Lohan, George Young, Blythe Howard, Antonio D. Charity and Kate Rachesky.

I feel like what we don’t have enough of right now are romantic comedies. That’s exactly what it is: it’s a really funny and uplifting romantic comedy. When I read the script and we started shooting it, I didn’t realize how much fun we were going to be physically. There’s a lot of physical comedy in it, which I really liked doing, it’s one of my favorite things to do, which I haven’t had in a long time.”, Lohan said about the tape to Glamor magazine.

What do critics say about the new movie?

“Lohan is fine with self-deprecating jokes at her expense and looking goofy as she gets dirty through physical comedy involving toilets, raccoons and the aforementioned skiing accident. Lohan shines right now, and the blooper reel in the credits shows that shine even extended to the set.”.

The movie will fade from mind before the big day arrives, but hopefully Lohan’s return will be the gift that keeps on giving.”.

Fans of Lohan and/or the merry Christmas movies are sure to find something to love here, but those whose tolerance for this type of molasses is low at best should probably stay out.

“It just mimics the nicer aspects of schlocky Christmas food. Jake is the gently rough archetype, having a precocious daughter (Olivia Pérez), a devoted elderly mother-in-law (Alejandra Flores), and a sad backstory involving a dead wife. All of that is acceptably standard.”

“If you’re not someone who can get carried away with Christmas cheer, Falling for Christmas is not for you. The script leaves a lot to be desired. Lohan and Overstreet do the best they can with what they’re given, and they’re both clearly committed to making it work.”

“Falling for Christmas” isn’t a Hallmark Channel Original, but it certainly looks like one. Stop me if you’ve heard this before: A gallant blue-collar widower strikes up an unlikely romance with a conceited rich heiress engaged to a conceited himbo that is expressly written to be obnoxious.”

“There’s nothing about it that isn’t predictable. The audience will be able to easily guess where the movie takes off and will also be able to guess the ending. The plot contains no surprises for the audience and has only mixed the elements of other romantic comedies.”
