BTS: RM, leader of the band released “Indigo”, his first solo album

Kim, 28, has wanted the entire album to revolve around dark blue tones (hence the title) and in accompanying photos of the album’s promotion He is seen posing in front of the painting “Blue”, painted in 1972 by Yoon Hyung-geun, one of the leading representatives of the so-called “monochromist” movement in South Korea. and one of the favorite artists of the leader of BTS.

RM, who had already released two solo mixtapes in 2015 and 2018, He has been dedicated to the art scene in South Korea for years, making donations for the preservation of works and artistic heritage or as a collector.

“Indigo” is released after BTS announced a hiatus in October that will last until at least 2025. in which its seven members (RM, Jimin, Jin, V, Suga, J-Hope and Jungkook) will take the opportunity to perform military service (which in South Korea is mandatory for all able-bodied men and lasts a minimum of 18 months). and focus on different individual projects.
