Ed Sheeran plans unexpected collaboration with Cradle of Filth

The great thing about being an artist of Ed Sheeran’s stature is that you can afford just about anything with the confidence of never going wrong. After almost two years of absence, the singer who is back on the hats with Bad Habits is now working on a most curious project: a collaboration with Cradle of Filth!

The name may not ring a bell, but the British band founded in 1991 occupies a special place in the metal music landscape, and more particularly in the black metal register.

A little dark and noisy to make friends with good old Ed Sheeran, you will tell us. And yet, the interpreter of Perfect is an absolute fan!

Closer than you think

“I exchanged emails with him. He even contacted me. I was invited to his home. He said he could come down to my house, but I pointed out to him that I don’t have my own bar or village, and that it would be better if I did. He said he would do anything. Literally. He said he was a huge fan. He seems like a really nice guy actually, ”Dani Filth, band leader, told Kerrang! Radio.

It remains to be seen what a collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Craddle of Filth might look like. For his part, Dani Filth is still not sure of anything, except perhaps the reaction of his fans.

“I think a collaboration with Ed Sheeran would be a lot of fun. I think it would be great if we did it for a charity because at least it would bring some credibility. Because obviously, for his audience, they’re going to be like, “Oh my God, he’s with this weird, funny guy,” and for my audience, it would be like, “Oh! my God, that’s a little weird, isn’t it? ” But I think that sort of thing works these days, ”he added.

And in the end, Ed Sheeran and Dani Filth are much closer than you think. Not content with giving the same glory to Satan, the two artists attend the same church, the one where pints of beer are served!
