Miss Universe 2022: When and where to see the preliminary competition where Alessia Rovegno participates

It has been months of waiting, effort and preparation that will finally be rewarded. The preliminary stage of Miss Universe 2022 will be held on the night of January 11 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana in the United States.

The Peruvian representative Alessia Rovegno will be one of the more than 80 candidates who will compete for one of the 16 places to advance to the semifinal, in a contest where they will be qualified not only for their beauty and elegance, but also where they will seek skills such as loquacity and the necessary attitude to be crowned Miss Universe and succeed Harnaaz Sandhu.

Today’s competition will see the candidates parade in their ball gowns and swimsuits. Their performance, coupled with a personal interview, will determine if the contestants advance to the next stage, although this will only be known on the night of the final on January 14.

It should be noted that during the same night, the candidates will also parade in their typical costumes.

The preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2022 will begin at 7 pm central time and at 8 pm Peru time.

United States (Pacific Time): 5 pm

Mexico: 7 p.m.

United States (Eastern Time): 8 pm

Peru: 8 p.m.

Ecuador: 8 p.m.

Colombia: 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, the parade with typical costumes will take place approximately two hours later, at 10 pm Peruvian time.

What will Alessia Rovegno wear in the contest?

As one would expect in such a competitive competition, the outfits that Alessia Rovegno will wear are still shrouded in mystery, although they are known to be the work of renowned Peruvian designer Augusto Manzanares.

What is known a little more is the typical costume that Miss Peru will use. It is a colorful dress designed by the Peruvian artist Beto Pinedo, who was inspired by the Andean sunrise.
