During the 2021 pandemic, the short films were successfully presented at the British Cultural Center in Lima. With this production, the Palpita Teatro company sought to strengthen audiovisual projects with a child-youth focus. In particular, his objective with this project was to encourage reading habits in the youngest as well as empathy towards those infants who are victims of bullying and/or violence.

Palpita Teatro is a theater and film production company that seeks to find new and innovative languages to create a synergy between both arts. This is how Cuatrojos relies on the resources of the narrator and the clown as strategies to tell this story with maximum freedom and so that the public can see the characters in their most sensitive and honest version. This will wrap us in the emotional space of the little girl passionate about authors such as Abraham Valdelomar, Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer and Corin Tellado.”, commented Marinés Soria, co-director and producer of the project.

The representative film of Peru was exhibited in New York, where boys and girls of Latin American heritage living in neighborhoods like Queens, Bronx, Manhattan and even states like New Jersey and Connecticut arrived. Sponsored by the Hispanic Federation, this is one of the few film festivals dedicated to promoting children’s films made in our continent.

The good reception was palpable thanks to the fact that “Cuatrojos” has playful elements from the clown, which takes children to a colorful and vibrant world that seeks to inspire them with the stories of great Peruvian authors.
