Drake has “collaborated” with The Beatles and R. Kelly on his new album, “Certified Lover Boy”

After Kanye West, it’s Drake’s turn to release his highly anticipated new album. The Canadian has indeed published Certified Lover Boy, and the rapper had planned some big surprises. Not only is the list of guests impressive (Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Lil Baby and Yebba), but in addition, the star has allowed himself to “invite” unexpected artists: John Lennon and Paul McCartney, just that, as reported by the BBC.

The two Beatles are indeed credited on Champagne Poetry, here sample Michelle, one of the many Fab Four hits. Certified Lover Boy was due out last year, but Drake had decided to take the time to get back on his feet after having knee surgery in 2020. “I’m lucky to be in good shape again and I feel great, focused on the album, but club will not be released in January, ”he said earlier this year to his fans.

Among the other surprises of the album, we can note in the credits the presence of a certain… R. Kelly. The R & B star, currently facing the courts over multiple cases of rape, sexual assault and racketeering, is named as one of the co-authors of the title. TSU. Nonetheless, as the NME notes, it’s difficult to determine to what extent the singer was involved, since none of his tracks appear to have been sampled.
