The Puerto Rican artist Don Omar expanded his facet as a music producer this Friday with the presentation of his new concept album “Pain is love”, which brings together several singers.
The performers Randy, Divino, Shadow Blow, De La Ghetto, Yomo, EL YMAN, Fortuna La Súper F, Angel López, Lyan, Franco El Gorila, Alberto Stylee and Tivi Gunz, are part of the album “Pain is Love”.
In alliance with Sugar Cream Music, this new record production presents romantic lyrics in a mixture of rhythms such as reggaeton, bachata, vallenato, trap and urban fusions with pop.
The lyrics of the songs of “Pain is Love” present an emotional journey that delves into the complexities of love, according to the statement from Don Omar’s representatives. The first single from the album is titled “Entrégame tu amor”, a romantic bachata performed by Randy and Don Omar..
Other songs that are part of the production are “Corazón de Fiesta” (Divino), “Last night I saw you” (Shadow Blow and De La Ghetto), “Don’t call me” (EL YMAN, Fortuna La Super F), “I can’t forget you” (Ángel López) and “Baby Sorry” (Lyan).
The goal of Don Omar, who has won several Latin Grammy and Billboard Latin music awards, is to collaborate with fellow musicians on these concept albums and bring diversity to the public.
The release of this album comes shortly after the artist was involved in a major controversy this month in Bolivia over the postponement of his concerts in La Paz and Santa Cruz due to a problem with the flight.
The Vice Ministry of Defense of the User and Consumer of Bolivia presented an arrest warrant against Don Omar for a complaint of “aggravated fraud”, which was extended to five other people, including his manager and his brother Héctor Landron.
Also the representatives of the duo Zion and Lennox, who accompanied Don Omar at the concerts, were “retained” for a few hours due to an accusation of fraud. Finally, a “conciliation” process was reached in which, before a prosecutor, the parties explained their position and agreed that Don Omar and Zion and Lennox were going to sing in Bolivia.
