Oscar 2023: Rihanna will present the song “Lift me up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” live

The 95th edition of the Oscar awards will take place next Sunday, March 12, to reward the best projects in the film industry of the last year. In this sense, the Hollywood Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the singer Rihanna will take the stage at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles (United States) to perform “Lift me up”, a song that belongs to the soundtrack of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

After her return to the stage with her “Super Bowl” halftime show, the American artist will perform for the first time at the Oscars. In this way, she will also celebrate her first Academy Award nomination in the Best Original Song category.

“It was an honor to work with these incredible musicians in creating a song for our movie and for our friend. It was meant to be a tribute to love and the specter of loss, and I couldn’t be happier for it to be recognized.”said director Ryan Coogler in a statement.

It should be remembered that the song “Lift me up” (performed by Rihanna) from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will face “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”, “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick” , “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR” and “This Is A Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once” in the Best Original Song category.
