Singer Milena Warthon She lived one of the best experiences of her life after winning the folkloric competition at the Viña del Mar 2023 festival. After obtaining the long-awaited trophy, the artist spoke about her participation and thanked the support she received from the Peruvian and Chilean public.
During an interview backstage at the festival, the Peruvian interpreter thanked the support she received from the public’s votes and assured that she knew she would have a good result because her song “had a nice message.”
“I arrived in Chile knowing that my song had a nice message, knowing that he was competing with the right song. But the competition has been too close, there was a time when I said ‘everyone is too good’”Milena recounted.
“I think it was for anyone. I am very grateful first to my country and then to the Chilean people who have received me in the best way.”, added the national artist.
As is known, Milena Warthon was crowned champion of the folkloric competition of the Viña del Mar Festival with her song “Warmisitay”. The Peruvian took the Silver Gull by receiving a score of 6.4, leaving Chile in second place with 6.0 points and Mexico in third with 5.7.
For his part, Fran Di, representative of Mexico, received the award for Best Interpreter of the competition. Both winners embraced at the end and received applause from the audience at Quinta Vergara.
