After passing through “Pataclaun”, the actor Carlos Alcantara will meet again with his colleagues Wendy Ramos and Gonzalo Torres to star in “The Year of the Tiger”, the new film directed by Yasser Michelén (“The Little Things”) that will hit theaters in Peru next Thursday, March 30.
The film is presented by Cinecolor Peru and Star Distribution Latin America, a Disney affiliate, together with Bou Group. This project brings together for the first time in 20 years part of the cast of “Pataclaun” for a movie. Therefore, here we leave you five curious facts that you should know about the film before its premiere:
1. The production of “The Year of the Tiger” used more than 300 fortune cookies for filming.
2. The cast used stunt doubles for the most dangerous stunts.
3. “The Year of the Tiger” has 12 characters that correspond to each of the animals in the Chinese calendar: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.
4. The restaurant “El pez dorado” from “The Year of the Tiger” is inspired by “Nom Wah”, a Chinese restaurant that opened its doors in 1920 on the famous Doyers St in Chinatown in New York (United States) and which it became famous for how dangerous it was to eat there.

What is “The Year of the Tiger” about?
The new movie “The Year of the Tiger” follows the story of Sama (Carlos Alcántara), who together with his wife will try to save their restaurant “El pez dorado” that is about to go into ruin. They will have to make decisions and face adversity to move forward.
