During the prestigious Cannes Film Festival held in 2022, the well-known entertainment company crunchyroll acquired the distribution rights for the movie “Suzume.” The film by Japanese filmmaker Makoto Shinkai will hit theaters in mid-April and today we know who will voice the main character in its English dubbing.
It is so American actress Nichole Sakura (“Superstore”) will be in charge of giving the English voice to the protagonist Suzume Iwato. The cast for the dubbing is completed by Josh Keaton, Jennifer Sun Bell, Joe Zieja, Rosalie Chang, Amanda C. Miller, Mela Lee and Cam Clarke. Meanwhile, the voice director in that language is Bill Millsap.
It should be remembered that Makoto Shinkai’s film “Suzume” was released in Japan on November 11 of last year and exceeded 5.6 million tickets sold. In addition, the film has generated a profit of 7,500 million yen, which translates to 55 million dollars.
The film “Suzume”, directed by the Japanese filmmaker Makoto Shinkai, will be released exclusively on April 13 in theaters in Peru. So far, the Cineplanet and Cinemark chains have confirmed the presence of the film on their billboards for the indicated date.
This tape tells the story of Suzume Iwato (17), who begins her journey through Japan in the quiet town of Kyushu, located in the southwest of the Asian country. However, when she meets a young man who is looking for a door, she tries to help him. Upon running into some ruins, she finds said door without knowing that closing it would cause endless disasters that she will later have to fix. The young woman herself must close the portals that have been opened throughout Japan to prevent the destruction from being total.
It should be noted that the entertainment company Crunchyroll teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the launch of “Suzume” in Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and parts of Europe.
