the peruvian band Solenoid breaks into the music scene with the premiere of “Cartarescu”, a theme inspired by the universe of literature by the Romanian author Cartarescu. The lyrics of this composition are accompanied by the socially themed dream pop and shoegaze genres.
In 2020, the group presented demos that reached the ears of the Romanian novelist Mircea Cartarescu, who was delighted with the song and congratulated the band for the tribute to his vast career.
“This first installment is thanks to Catenaria Discos, the production of Mario Silvania & Juan Esquivel from AudioQubo. We invite you to follow us on all our social networks and platforms because we will continue posting more of our music, news and concert dates”, said the group through a statement.
The sound of Solenoid makes the listener live a journey between dream and reality, accompanied by a captivating sound. The group has been classified as “a wind that blows hard” by the experienced producer and musician Mario Silvanía.
The band is made up of Oscar Contreras (guitar), Laura Rosales (bass and vocals), Héctor Espinoza (bass and vocals), Oscar Chavez (guitar) & Renzo Lopez (drums). The EP has been recorded in its entirety at AudioQubo Studios under the production, mixing and mastering of Mario Silvania and Juan Esquivel (Catervas), during December 2022.
