Susan Sarandon will be recognized in Spain with the Sant Jordi award

american actress susan sarandon will be recognized with the honorary award of the 67th edition of the Sant Jordi Cinematography Awards, granted by Radio Nacional de España in the city of Barcelona. They will be delivered on April 25 at the Teatre Lliure in the city.

Born in New York in 1946, Sarandon made her acting debut in 1970 with the movie “Joe” and became known with “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” in 1975.

Susan Sarandon’s career was established in 1991, when she starred with Geena Davis in Ridley Scott’s “Thelma & Louise”, which earned them both Oscar nominations for Best Female Performance.

Precisely Sarandon will participate this year in the BCN Film Fest, from April 20 to 27 in Barcelona, ​​and will speak in a colloquium after the screening of that film.

Sarandon, also known for her political activism, has been an ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations since 2010.

He has actively participated in the social movement against economic inequality, Occupy Wall Street. Her involvement against the immigration policy of Republican Donald Trump (2017-2021) led her to be arrested at a protest in 2018.
