Christopher Nolan to tell atomic bomb story in new movie

After Tenet, Would Christopher Nolan be ready to embark on his new film? In any case, this is what Deadline announces. While Dunkerque was interested in Operation Dynamo, in 1940, this next film by the filmmaker will focus on another key episode of World War II: the design of the atomic bomb.

At the heart of the scenario, there will therefore be a man, specifies the publication: J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist considered to be the “father” of the atomic bomb. Cillian Murphy, who has already collaborated with Christopher Nolan on several occasions (in his trilogy Dark Knight as well as Inception and Dunkerque), would be tipped to star in the film, although no details on the casting have yet been confirmed.

End of the story

The big surprise comes mainly from the production side. Still according to Deadline, for once, Christopher Nolan could no longer work exclusively with Warner, which has produced all of his recent films. The post says it doesn’t even know if Warner Bros. is one of the studios that currently have the script in hand, while most of the Hollywood giants are on the spot.

It must be said that Christopher Nolan was angry when WarnerMedia announced at the beginning of the year that all of its films scheduled for release in 2021 would be broadcast on HBOMax in parallel with their theatrical release. Has the break-up already taken place?
