Get ready for a ‘wonderful’ time with the release of the first teaser trailer for “The Marvel”, the movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM) that brings together the heroines Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) in a single film.
The film, directed by Nia DaCosta, will be released on November 10 and will serve as a sequel to “Captain Marvel” (2019), as well as the Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel”. It will also continue the story of Monica Rambeau, a character introduced as a girl in Captain Marvel’s first adventure that we finally saw as an adult in “WandaVision.”
The trailer presents more details of the project, including the central mystery of the plot: for some strange reason the three protagonists switch places every time they use their powers, a situation that will force them to come together to solve the mystery in an intergalactic adventure.
The trailer gives us our first look at the villain, played by actress Zawe Ashton. Although it is not known exactly which comic book character she is playing, the video shows her surrounded by Kree troops – an alien race in conflict with Captain Marvel – and using a hammer very similar to Ronan the Accuser, antagonist of the first film of ” Guardians of the Galaxy”.
Another character that seems to have great importance is Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), who we last saw enjoying his vacation in “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” It’s a busy time for Jackson within the MCU, as he will also be starring in the series “Secret Invasion” due out on June 21.
“The Marvel” will be released in the United States on November 10.
