On the three floors that make up the entire exhibition, works are displayed that significantly reflect our traditions, dances, gastronomy, landscapes and daily scenes. Each artist contributes with a personal interpretation that generates a valuable enriching perspective for the understanding of our history and cultural evolution.

“ANDThese pieces have the power to educate and move the attendees”says Mávila. From the winning photograph that captures the essence of Wasichakuy -a Cusco celebration for the repatching of roofs-, the sculpture that pays tribute to the emblematic Lanzón de Chavín and even a canvas that invites us to face the pandemic with faith, resilience and hope as it is the case the painting that obtained the first place.

But the exhibition does not stop at the traditional forms of artistic expression, which is why the category of digital art was included in this second edition. Using technology as a brush, the contestants explored new dimensions of Peruvian identity. For the director, these modern creation techniques not only promote cultural preservation, but are also attractive and innovative for younger generations.

The final exhibition is the result of a careful selection from among more than 500 artistic pieces that were presented in the contest.

In addition, the organizers have designed a program of complementary activities for the public. Among which are workshops, guided tours and master talks given by renowned artists, both previous winners of the contest and special guests. “These activities offer visitors a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Peruvian art, interact directly with the artists and deepen their understanding of the works on display.”, he assures.
