Argentine tango show “Deseos” arrives in Lima in July

“Wishes”, the show of Argentinian tango more successful, he will reach the Grand National Theater in two unique functions, to be held on July 8 and 9. The return of the famous company Estampas Porteñas from Buenos Aires will take place within the framework of the celebrations for the patriotic anniversary of the sister Republic of Argentina.

The Buenos Aires company returns to our capital with a renewed performance, full of music, images and sensuality typical of good dance: the tango.

Carolina Soler, choreographer and director of the company, points out that “Deseos” is a staging with a very well structured script, which develops a love story between two passionate young peoplesupported by a cast of more than twenty high-level artists on stage and live music.

The special scenery and interactive mapping (projections to create a living environment on stage) go from a train station to a milonga in an urban neighborhood; from an open-air plaza, to a ballroom, and to docks, a technique that envelops viewers in the glamor of Argentine tango.

It should be noted that to date, Soler has received innumerable awards worldwide over more than two decades, since in 1996 he founded the company.

“Deseos” –which has earned applause from specialized critics in countries such as Istanbul, China, Korea, Zurich, Hamburg and the US, among others- will be presented with skill, passion, open skirts, sensual twists and music impregnated with tango: an Argentine tradition of 150 years.
