With the aim of promoting the zarzuela genre in Peru, the Arte Gradual association stages the show “Long live the zarzuela”which will take place on June 17 in the auditorium of the Colegio Santa Úrsula, San Isidro.
This show will have a repertoire that includes choir, soloists and dances directed by the young master conductor Gonzalo Sánchez Villanueva, from the Gradual Art Symphony Orchestra, and Caridad Herrera, from the Zarzuela Peru Association Choir, as director.
As if that were not enough, the show will also feature talented artists such as Andrés Veramendi (tenor), Caridad Herrera (mezzo-soprano), Marielly Minaya (soprano), Luz Merlina Honorio (soprano), Bettina Victorero (mezzo-soprano), Darvis Coronado (bass), Gloria Cárdenas (castanets) and Gabriella Muñoz (dancer).
All the participants, who seek to promote the genre in the country, will perform the best of the zarzuela repertoire such as “La revoltosa”, “Las leandras”, “Los Gavilanes”, “El niño judío”, among other hits.
As if that were not enough, there will also be musical gifts at the end of the “Viva la zarzuela” programme. Tickets for the show are on sale through teleticket.
