“Ambiente Criollo”, a group of Creole women, announces a new show

Creole Environmenta musical group made up entirely of women with a great music and dance show, will perform at the Huaca Mateo Salado archaeological complex next Sunday, August 4. Admission to enjoy the show is completely free.

With their characteristic seal “A rhythm of woman, period!”, they will perform their repertoire composed of waltzes, festejos, zamacuecas, tonderos and marineras, among others, as well as the songs from their first production entitled: “Herencias: Mujeres composeras en la historia de la música criolla”.

Ambiente Criollo has been working for more than 15 years in the dissemination and creation of Creole music in the Peruvian music scene, recognizing the contribution of great composers and performers within Creole music, being an inspiration for the members of the group.

Under the direction of percussionist Ana Espinoza, Ambiente Criollo has managed to gain a place in the local circuit with talent and charisma since it was formed in 2007. And the same thing happens abroad, where they have been recognized in the city of Los Angeles, United States and in Arica, Chile.

Their single “Ancestras” reached number one on Colombia’s #VivaMusic20 global chart in its 376th edition. It is their own song that, through art, calls for sisterhood and to continue the fight for vindication that was started by those who came before them.
