There is less and less time left for Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil is presented in Lima. The family show that incorporates acrobatics, football costumes, chameleon makeup, cutting-edge technology and more, will premiere on August 7 at Arena 1. Tickets are already on sale at Joinnus.

All the equipment needed to set up the venue that will host this magnificent show arrived in Lima, Peru, on July 9 from Canada.

Peru is the second country to host the 2024 Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil tour, the show that pays tribute to the current world champion and has already been seen by more than half a million spectators in various cities around the world.

All the elements that make up the show, both physical and artistic, were created at Cirque du Soleil’s headquarters in Canada and travel around the world in 23 containers carrying 267 tons of equipment, including sound and lighting equipment, structures, acrobatic equipment, props and more than 1,000 pieces of costumes, among others.

“This show is not only a work of art, but also a work of engineering. The production deployment involved, the specialization of the work teams and the precision in planning are unique and make Messi10 a technological milestone for live shows. Today we landed in Lima and we are happy to see, after five months of preparations, how everything is finally starting to take shape,” said Sergio Lavie, executive producer of Messi10.

The show’s set features a reimagined soccer field. The audience will be able to immerse themselves in a soccer field that is approximately 41 meters long by 14 meters wide, and features a 23-ton grid that holds the lighting, video and audio equipment. Included are two high-definition mobile screens that measure 2.4 meters high by 11 meters long and have more than 1.25 million high-brightness pixels.

Messi10 by Cirque du Soleil will be presented from August 7 to 11 at Arena 1, a 36,000 m² venue with more than 8,000 m² of roofed area, esplanade and parking. Tickets for the show are on sale at Joinnus.
