François Truffaut’s daughters accuse Eric Zemmour of “desecrating” their father’s work

In a statement written by their lawyers, the two daughters of the director expressed their anger.

The exact opposite of Zemmour

Laura and Eva Truffaut add that the ideas of the candidate, whose racist theory of the “great replacement” is the basis of his movement, go against those of their father. “The infringement of the moral rights attached to the work is a form of desecration all the more disrespectful as Truffaut, the exact opposite of Zemmour, loved people in their variety and for their weaknesses, he expressed a generous vision. and tender of humanity, ”they add.

At first, this open letter asks the team of the far-right candidate to stop using these images, recalling that they reserve “the right to give this situation all the consequences it calls for”.

Laeticia Hallyday, Luc Besson, or even Bernard Serf, Barbara’s nephew, all expressed their dissatisfaction with the illegal use of works in the video of the former journalist.
