Diane Kruger is happy to have had her first child after 40

What if 40 is the perfect age to have your first child? In any case, this is the opinion of actress Diane Kruger. The star of The Bridge, who had her daughter at 42, in 2018, revealed in the Sunday Telegraph that she was very happy to have waited until she was “ready and wanted” to become a mother. In a relationship with Norman Reedus, she even tells herself that she would not have been able to enjoy motherhood if she had given birth to her younger baby.

“I’m so happy that I didn’t have a child at 30. I think I absolutely would have blamed myself for all the things that have to be given up, because today I’m happy to do it. I have been to all the parties, I have traveled to all the countries I want to visit. So I am 100% ready and willing to give this attention to my child. But at 30, I know I wouldn’t have been ready to do it right, ”she explained.

Everywhere together

Today more comfortable in her career, Diane Kruger even allows herself freedoms with her daughter (whose name she prefers not to reveal and protects as much as possible from the paparazzi). She takes him for example with her on the sets. “It’s always been very difficult, and that’s probably one of the reasons I work less. Things change when you have a family. You want everyone to stay together, ”she said in another interview for Women’s Health.

A decision that clearly does not harm her career, since even if she has decided to work less, the star continues the large-scale projects. Diane Kruger will be playing this Wednesday at 355, alongside Jessica Chastain, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing and Lupita Nyong’o.
