Leonardo Torres Vilar bet on returning to the theater with the presentation of the play “Tomorrow I’m getting married”, written by Willy Russell and directed by the actor from “Married with my brother.” The play arrives on Friday, January 21 at the Nuevo Teatro Julieta.

The play was released in March 2020, but could not finish its season due to the pandemic. However, demonstrating its usual resilience, the Leonardo Torres Vilar Studio, once again commits to producing this work.

“It was very painful to truncate a season we loved, but the priorities were clear. In our last show greeting, we said: ‘We will be back; we don’t know when, but we’ll be back ‘Torres Vilar said in a statement.

“The fact that it had to be two years (and not two months as we thought then) is proof of the stubbornness of our theater, our audience and our actors. How beautiful to start 2022 saying THE THEATER GOES ON! ”, added the actor.

“Tomorrow I’m Marrying”, set in Liverpool in the late 70s, shows a generation of young people driven by alcohol and music, but suffocated by the impositions of society. Thus, we will see current questions about love, marriage, the role of women and social pressure on personal life and the decisions of others.

The cast is made up of Betsy Balaguer, Alonso Castro, Ana Paula Delgado, Ximena Galiano, Alonso García, Luis García, Larisa Landívar, Bryan Navarro, Gustavo Pajuelo, Ale Reyes, Miguel Soriano and Jorge Talavera.

The performances will be from Friday to Sunday at 8 pm, from January 21 to February 6, at the New Julieta Theater (Pasaje Porta 132. Miraflores). Tickets are on sale through the website of Joinnus.
