Sunday, in a press release, the organization therefore calls for “not to trivialize confinement” while the introduction of new restrictive measures is not excluded in the event of a worsening of health after the end of the year holidays.
Many companies “on a drip”
“A large number of companies are currently living on an IV. Their debt ratio has exploded and this will not be without effect, whether we like it or not, ”warns the CPME. The specter of a new confinement is nevertheless very present. On the occasion of the launch of the vaccination campaign in France, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran told the Sunday newspaper do not exclude “measures which may be necessary to protect populations” if the epidemic situation “were to worsen”.
The employers’ organization is therefore wondering how to bounce back with the restrictions. She argues that “strong growth can be the solution to avoid new levies” but that “it will not be done with a” stop and go economy “which favors more precautionary savings than investment”.
