Rappel Conso reported on Friday that it was recalling “Viva Candia” branded milk cartons due to organoleptic defects (taste, texture or smell). These are 1 liter VIVA 1% fat “10 vitamins” bricks, sold in packs of six and available from 22 December 2022 at Auchan, Intermarché, Francap, Leclerc or Proxy. “This recall does not apply to any other Viva reference, nor to any other batch and Viva x6 timestamp,” the government website wants to assure.
Consumers have reportedly traced the brand’s origins to “an organoleptic defect (taste, texture, or smell) that may be characterized by curdling of milk when heated,” according to the conso recall site, which recommends not consuming the milk in question and reporting it to the sale point.
Consumers will then be offered compensation in the form of a discount voucher. To answer consumer questions, a telephone number has been created: 09.87.87.00.50.
Candia’s baby milk bottles have been recalled due to a seal issue that could introduce bacteria into the product.
