Kourtney Kardashian got some serious backlash for her latest Instagram post — and it’s all about food hygiene.

The Kardashians star posted a photo of a lot of food on the floor and next to the toilet in her bathroom, and her followers were quick to wonder if it was hygienic.

One user wrote, “Eating on the toilet is disgusting.”

Another commented, “Food on the toilet and bathroom floor, no ma’am,” while another said, “I was just thinking, can you please get your food off the bathroom floor… especially the toilet.” gray poop particles with my croissant.

And we must say that we are here with the internet. Drinking a cold beer in the shower is one thing, eating and drinking next to the toilet is quite another.

DR Sally Bloomfield, chair of the International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene, even told Metro.co.uk: ‘It’s a very irresponsible thing of hers because if you handle food that you’ve come to eat there’s a danger it could becomes infected with microbes. .

“Either if you don’t cook it well enough, or you don’t store it well enough, or it spills on surfaces or gets touched with your hands and they get contaminated.

“Here we go to poop, and if someone has a contagious disease, if they don’t feel sick at all, these organisms get into the toilet, then we flush the toilet and droplets come out of the toilet and spread across surfaces.

“So there’s a measurable risk, and you’re increasing that risk by putting food in the bathroom.”

Doctor Bloomfield called Kourtney’s bathroom party “just about the dumbest thing to do.”

She said, “If you want to eat something, you have to eat it in the kitchen or in the dining room.”

“People usually say, ‘I only get food poisoning from a restaurant, I don’t get it from my house.’

No, that’s not correct, probably at least 30% of foodborne illness outbreaks occur in our homes due to poor standards of food handling, storage and preparation.

“Increasing that risk by taking food to a place where we have an increased risk of spreading gut microbes is just very irresponsible.”

DR According to Bloomfield, the same is true for eating in our bed, although the risk is slightly smaller than in the bathroom.

She said: “The risks are minimal, but bed bugs accumulate in our beds and feed on our skin cells. That’s why it’s important to wash your linen regularly, so why put yourself at risk, I don’t know.

While eating in the bedroom isn’t ideal, Dr. Bloomfield says eating on the toilet is a real no-go.

“You shouldn’t do it. You can usually get away with it. Every time you go to the bathroom and take your food with you, you take a chance and say, ‘Oh, that never happens to me,'” she said.

“The bathroom is where there are risks. That’s why we have a toilet there, that’s why we have a sink to get rid of germs if needed.

“Hygiene is about respecting other people. So if you insist on going to the toilet and catch an infection, you start spreading it to your family. It’s about respecting the people you live with.”

So take notes. No food in the bathroom, sorry Kourtney.
