Shortage of medical and nursing staff, closure of beds… Faced with the difficulties of providing emergency care in Moselle institutions, the Regional Health Authority of Grand Est announced in a press release on Saturday that it had initiated the Territorial White Plan. She asks the department’s public and private agencies to activate the White Plan internal mobilization plan. In other words, activating the White Plan allows agency directors to reorganize, for example, by canceling operations considered non-urgent or by reorganizing staffing levels.
“The situation in hospitals is currently tense, in particular due to a shortage of medical and nursing staff, which is leading to the closure of beds and the adaptation of a certain number of department hospital services, including emergency services,” the agency explains.
In addition, the public, especially residents of Metz and Thionville, are advised to call 15 before going to the emergency department. If necessary, you can contact establishments located in the neighboring departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Bas-Rhin and Meuse.
