While the wave of the Omicron variant is sweeping across the whole of France, a new rule has been put in place since December 31 in certain hospitals such as the Rouen University Hospital (Seine-Maritime). Agents infected with Covid-19 can come to work, if they are vaccinated and asymptomatic, reports 76actu.
In more detail, according to the national directive of December 24, following the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health, these positive agents can work “provided that their state of health allows it (without there being any cough or fever), that their supervision cannot replace them, and if teleworking is impossible for them ”.
A rule denounced by some
Faced with this new measure, some health professionals are not fully understood. “Today we are paying for the health policies carried out for years … We have put the strict minimum of agents in each service”, deplores Guillaume Herlin, union nurse SOUTH at Rouen University Hospital. And to add: “We cannot say to a population that it is necessary to be super vigilant vis-a-vis the virus, and to infected caregivers” come to work “! “.
Other rules will also have to be observed for these agents, such as wearing the mask all day, indoors and outdoors, respecting safety distances, avoiding gatherings or even washing their hands regularly.
