With Omicron, the end of the pandemic in Europe becomes “plausible”

We all wished it on December 31, 2022 will be a better year than 2021. No more tears, depression, blues and the feeling of permanent Baudelairian spleen. That’s good, February has not even started that the World Health Organization (WHO) gratifies us with a small bombshell at the level of good news by declaring: “It is plausible that Europe is approaching an end of the coronavirus pandemic”.

To justify this statement, Hans Kluge, director of WHO Europe, explained that with the Omicron variant, 60% of Europeans could be contaminated by March. What bring the continent closer to the end of the pandemic, with a big boost in natural immunity + vaccine. But as you have to be careful these days, Hans Kluge still called for caution because of the versatility of the virus. Come on, we’re still going to believe it!
