The days of sun and warmth are coming to an end but that does not mean that you stop enjoying a good ice cream. And what better than trying it in its most original version, just as it is tasted in the best gelaterias Italian. Under this concept we can find Cremeria Toscana, a brand that offers delicious ice creams with a high quality recipe. Advantage He decided to take a tour of his store in San Isidro, located on Av. Conquistadores, and we will tell you more about its history, the flavors you can try and everything you need to know to visit them.

Tuscan Creamery was founded 18 years ago by master ice cream maker Andrea Giuntoli, of Tuscan origins. The first store was located in Milan. “The creator of the ice cream is, by coincidence in life, married to a cousin of mine and that’s how we met the brand for the first time. My wife and daughter love ice cream and we realized that there was nothing like it in Lima. We decided to bring the brand to Peru in December 2018,” explains Alfonso Linares, general manager of the ice cream parlor.

After the pandemic, the place where they were originally closed closed and they decided to find a new space. “That’s how we got to this local of San Isidro. It is larger and we comply with all security protocols, it has comfortable and visually attractive spaces for customers. Many people take advantage and take photos of the ice creams,” says Linares.

In addition to being a space instagrammable, well lit and cozy, it is interesting to be able to see the production that takes place in the same place through a window. “We want people to see and learn more about this preparation. Many people enjoy it and we have to make daily production of most ice creams”, says the manager.

A feast of gelatos and sorbettos

The menu is divided into two types of products that they offer. Those that are based on milk, that is, gelatos or ice creams; and those that are based on water and fruit, known as sorbettos or sherbets.

In the first group we can find ice cream with local flavors such as lucuma either lemon piebut also curious flavors and interesting like the one in Amarena, nocciola -hazelnut- or gianduia -chocolate paste with hazelnut-. Two of our favorites that we highly recommend are pistachio and the one of chocolate with orange. Both are difficult to find in artisanal ice cream parlors and here they are prepared with the best quality ingredients.

Mango Ice Cream

In the second group we find the more refreshing and natural flavors, prepared from fruits such as mango, passion fruit, blueberries, custard apple, strawberry or lemon. The interesting thing about the menu is that the flavors go according to the season. “We have 26 flavors They rotate according to the season. In winter people ask for flavors such as chocolate, coffee, tiramisu, at Christmas the one that comes out the most is panettone and in summer we offer lemon sorbets with basil and orange with ginger”, says Linares.

Tuscan Creamery It is one of those pleasures that we all deserve to try from time to time because of the quality of the flavors and the variety of options that you can find. Whether it’s an ice cream or a sorbetto, with a cone or in a glass, go ahead and enjoy these sunny days.
