Mini choux or profiteroles are one of the most delicious and versatile desserts out there, but they are also one of the least known in our country. It is a soft and airy dough that can be filled and decorated with countless flavors, everything depends on the creativity of the person who prepares them. Raúl Matzumura and Joao Castillo saw the great potential of this dessert. They are two friends and creators of Le Bomb, a venture that started this year and is already a success thanks to its sweet creations.

Le Bomb It was born from the vision of two friends to be able to generate a venture with potential and for that we take into account the customs of the people of Lima at lunch or dessert time. We also wanted to get on the train of digitalization of culinary spaces”, mentions Matzumura to Advantage.

The venture was born at the beginning of this year with the aim of publicizing the delicious combinations that they offer in their mini choux and how perfect they are to give the sweet touch to any moment. “But we not only offer these desserts, we have also incorporated other more classic options in different formats that can also be enjoyed”, explains Raúl.

This is a brand that wants to accompany diners at all times, which is why they are also committed to having some savory options and just as well made and delicious. “Looking for something for breakfast, birthdays or just want a sweet treat? Le Bomb it is for all that”, affirms the partner.

From traditional to innovative

As we already mentioned, the mini choux are the star of this menu. They offer stuffed versions of custard cream, lemon Y lucuma, to mention a few. Our favorites were salted caramel and peanuts since the combination of flavors was addictive and the Rocher, which is inspired by a well-known brand of chocolate and is bathed in chocolate and pieces of nuts, to give it the perfect crunchy touch. Caveat! We know that a single profiterole is not enough, so they have formats of 3, 15 and 50 units, whose prices range from S/9.

You can also taste personal portions of cakes like the Chocolate Bomb, an indulgent and powerful chocolate cake, dipped in fudge; the Crispy Lucuma, a soft fruit cream on chocolate sponge cake with fudge and praline; and a surprising three nutella milkswhich consists of a moist vanilla sponge cake served with vanilla cream, nutella and chantilly cream.

Within the category of sweet cakes they include puff pastry cake with apple, lemon pye, carrot cake, cheesecake and strawberry or chocolate thousand leaves. From this list our favorite dessert was the bomb creama version of the classic cream flipped which is decorated with a mini choux and chantilly cream. The texture of the cream was immaculate and the passage of the spoon through it was almost a dream – definitely one of the best versions we’ve tried.

Of these cakes and desserts mentioned, also you can enjoy versions to sharethat is, complete molds perfect for a celebration or birthday.

Classic strawberry mille-feuille.

Another of the desserts that completely conquered us were the a thousand leaves in its two versions: the classic strawberry and chocolate and vanilla. The base is the same: perfect layers of puff pastry spread with an addictive blancmange and topped with homemade custard and profiteroles.

If you have a taste for saltiness, the menu offers five versions of empanadas (meat, ham and cheese, chicken, loin and chicken chili) and a chard cake that can’t be missed.

As if that were not enough, Le Bomb It also has a service snacks where they include mini versions of alfajores, lemon pye, strawberry cake, brownie, cinnamon and meat empanadas. In addition, they offer mini chicken and celery sandwiches, chicken and peach, egg with bacon, and olives with chestnuts and raisins.

In the category of savory pastries we can find empanadas with different fillings. From a classic one like the one with ham and cheese to one with Peruvian touches, like the one with ají de gallina.
