The English Bar of the Hotel Country remains eternal, magical. And in this note we share a not-so-secret secret about their bar: the classic version has 4 ounces of pisco. It may sound like a lot, but sometimes there are things that are not discussed.
The famous recipe (authored by Roberto Meléndez) is summed up with the 4-1-1 formula: 4 pisco, one lemon and one rubber syrup, in addition to the egg white and the drops of Angostura bitters. Here is the preparation in detail:
Classic Pisco sour recipe from the English Bar:
Ingredients:

- 4oz of pure quebranta pisco.
- 1oz of lemon juice.
- 1oz of simple syrup.
- 1 dash of egg white.
- 5 to 6 ice cubes.

Add the ingredients and shake vigorously in the shaker. Serve in a previously chilled glass, leaving the ice in the shaker. Add 1 to 2 drops of Angostura bitters.
