Three foods to avoid for breakfast

After 10 to 12 hours of fasting, the body needs to recharge energy by consuming nutrients that allow it to do all the activities of the day, that is why breakfast becomes an important meal, says Karla Courrèges, also known as the “ magical nutritionist lavienutritive.

However, despite being a meal that will allow for better physical and mental performance, many people skip it or have just one drink, but well, it must be mentioned that all foods are not recommended either. Courrèges identifies three foods that should not be included in the diet.

1. Sausages

The hot dog, jamonada, bacon and other sausages are not recommended even though they are the most common foods for breakfast. The reason why they should not be included is because they are high in sodium, have saturated fats and do not provide any nutritional value. For example, bacon has been placed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in group 1 as carcinogenic to humans, at the same level as tobacco or alcohol.

2. Cereals with added sugar

It is very common to eat boxed cereals at any age, first because it is very simple and with quite affordable prices, however, the amount of sugar they contain can cause an increase in insulin resistance.

4. Cereal flakes. Will Keith Kellogg decided to see what would happen if he cooked some leftover bread dough and now we have one of the most popular breakfasts in the world. (Photo: Pixabay)

3. Butter

This product, like cream cheese, is a source of saturated fat that should be consumed in moderation at any time of the day. In addition, it could be replaced by other products, such as olive oil.
