Fancy a swim with a perfect view of the city?

You don’t have to travel far to enjoy it, as a new hotel at Battersea Power Station has its own stunning rooftop pool for a unique swim.

Art’otel, part of the £9 billion redevelopment of the area, opened this week and consists of 164 rooms right next to the iconic former power station.

The luxury hotel chain focuses on highlighting the work of creatives, with interiors on the BPS site curated by contemporary Spanish designer Jaime Hayon.

It also offers a bi-monthly artist-in-residence exhibition space, as well as a chic Italian restaurant, Tozi Grand Café.

The Art’otel’s rooftop pool is perhaps its most outstanding feature.

The infinity pool offers swimmers a unique view of the famous Battersea Power Station chimneys, with the London skyline in all its glory in the background.

Promotional images show guests relaxing on lounge chairs and taking in the breathtaking views from the 16th floor deck, which we imagine will become an Instagram hot spot in the summer.

Fortunately, the pool is also heated so you don’t have to wait that long to take a dip.

A rooftop bar serves cocktails for an exclusive experience, while the sauna, steam room and spa treatments allow visitors to get out of the city if they wish.

Rooms aren’t exactly cheap, with rates for Radisson Rewards members starting at £299.25 per night.

But for fans of art, architecture, and non-touristy sights, it’s a price well worth it.

A stay here would make an impressive gift or a couples city break – don’t forget to bring your duvet.
