Grilled ceviche and chicken were chosen among the best dishes in the world in 2022 by the TasteAtlas guide, a portal published in English and prepared based on votes from its international users.
According to the 2022 update of said portal, announced at the end of December, the mixed cebiche was ranked 7th below panang (position 6), a Thai curry; the guo tie, (position 5) Chinese steamed dumplings; the tangbaos (position 4), soup buns also of Chinese origin; the Bulhão Pato style clams (rank 3) from Portugal; and the Brazilian picaña (position 2).
In the first place of this list was the kare or Japanese curry.

The TasteAtlas portal also published the update of its ranking of the best foods in the world, in which Peru was ranked 10th.
On its Twitter account, the guide reported that its ranking is based on votes from its readers and that, to prevent the votes from being distorted, they consider votes as those affected by nationality in which, as they explained, users give the highest score to their country and the lowest score to neighboring countries.
Throughout the year, people rate those foods (not cuisines) in our database. Some votes are recognized by our system as invalid (eg nationalist votes: people from one country give high marks to their dishes and low marks to their neighbors. We don’t count such votes).
