These are the 10 best Creole food restaurants in Lima, according to the Somos 2023 Awards

Creole food is one of the most popular on the Peruvian table. And now also on tables around the world, dishes like lomo saltado are in great demand in cities like Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires and Bogotá. And in the first edition of the Somos Awards, this type of gastronomy had a privileged place.

There were more than 25 thousand votes that were registered to choose the winners of the Somos Awards and here we tell you more about this category on time.

The 2023 edition of the Somos Awards selected these restaurants as the most outstanding in terms of Creole cuisine proposals:

The winning restaurant of the first edition of the Somos Awards was: Panchita.

Panchita has a tasty menu that pays tribute to Creole and family flavors. Whether with her carapulcra, ají de gallina, anticuchos, seco or olluquito, Panchita takes us back to the past, to the smells of mom’s and grandmother’s cooking. It currently has two locations in Lima, but this Peruvian restaurant has come to conquer Chilean palates by taking the Creole jarana, with cajón and guitar, to the south of the continent.

With the experience of chef Miguel Intiquilla, his respect for the Lima and regional recipes, the research behind his dishes, the concept of this emblematic restaurant for the city was built.
