Coronavirus in Peru: 5 tips to organize your workspace at home

The measures taken by the Peruvian Government to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) forces many workers to do what is called telecommuting or remote work. However, not all of them have adequate space to carry out the daily tasks they carry out in an office.

In this sense, the real estate portal Urbania offers five tips to organize a productive workspace.

1. Good posture. Make sure you have an ergonomic and comfortable chair so you can do your job without complications and avoid injuries. Low back injuries are the most common and costly in office workers. The lumbar area must always be supported, if you do not have an adjustable backrest, you can place a pillow

2. Work table. The table or desk you use must match the height and size of the chair to avoid physical discomfort; Then, choose the table where you can fit the essential objects you need to make your work as productive as possible. Your laptop or computer should fit on the work table, and you can adapt another support for some other documents or electronic devices.

3. Lighting and freshness. Ideally, your workspace is near a window, but if not, you can have a white light desk lamp, which will avoid irritating your eyes. Also, you can decorate it with some plants and pictures to have a ventilated and fresh environment, this will favor concentration and creativity.

4. Peace of mind. Identify the space in the house that has the least amount of distractions and noise, that way you can focus on your work. You also have to make sure it has a good internet connection and is close to the plugs.

5. Get organized. The work material should be at your fingertips when you need it. The wall is a perfect ally, in this you can place shelves or boxes and thus create a personalized shelf. When you finish the work day, keep everything in its place to mentally disconnect from our work obligations and be able to rest.
